The Birth of Bitcoin 

Bitcoin ₿ (BTC) is the first decentralized cryptocurrency, created in 2009 by the mysterious figure Satoshi Nakamoto. 

It runs on a revolutionary technology called blockchain, enabling secure, peer-to-peer transactions without intermediaries. 
Bitcoin isn’t just digital money — it’s a symbol of financial freedom and innovation. 

What Is Ethereum?

Ethereum Ξ (ETH) is more than just a cryptocurrency.
It’s a powerful blockchain platform that introduced smart contracts—self-executing agreements coded directly into the blockchain. Founded by Vitalik Buterin in 2015, Ethereum has become the foundation for countless innovations, including NFTs and decentralized applications (dApps).

The written code of the AlpakaPunks smart contract lives on Ethereum, which allows any user to buy and sell them with anyone else in the world.

How Blockchain Works

Blockchain is a digital ledger that records transactions securely and transparently.
Each "block" contains data, linked to the previous one, creating a "chain."
Its decentralized nature means no single entity controls it, making it tamper-proof and trusted by industries worldwide.

The goal of blockchain is to allow digital information to be recorded and distributed, but not edited. In this way, a blockchain is a foundation for immutable ledgers, or records of transactions that cannot be altered, deleted or destroyed.

What happens to the canvas works?

Are each of the 1,111 AlpakaPunks NFTs truly unique? Yes it is! But an AlpakaPunk usually exists in two different dimensions.

It's not just the ETH Token behind the JPG artwork that makes every AlpakaPunk so valuable and unique. Each AlpakaPunks picture was created on a black canvas over several days or weeks with a lot of love and passion. There is the final NFT and the preceding PrePunk.

My approach has several reasons:

1. The rarity is guaranteed by the elaborate creation process. This also sets the project apart from most other NFT collections.

2. Selling some PrePunks to family members, friends and early fans was necessary to finance the further development of the AlpakaPunks project.

3. The raw imperfection in each work, intended to reflect the punk spirit, also contributes to the unique aesthetic of the AlpakaPunks NFTs.

4. This approach is comparable to the creation of a blockchain or the BTC logo.

5. Every AlpakaPunk exists in two dimensions: the real and the digital world. And yet, the digital differs from the material (in color, detail, and form). The digital world cannot exist without the real world. And the digital world has become part of our real world. Everything is interconnected.

Since the analog base-works are digitized and processed again in several steps before a digital object + token is created from the material object, they differ from each other in several ways - but the original point is the same. So each of the 1,111 beings exists in two different dimensions.

Every AlpakaPunks NFT holder has a mental connection with the artist J.Jogro and possibly also with a third, unknown collector of analogue, classic art.

The future belongs to those who use technology consciously and responsibly. We now have the opportunity to shape digital worlds in a way that benefits everyone – rather than leading to further dependence and environmental destruction.

How to buy an NFT 

Buying an NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is simpler than it might seem. Here’s a quick step-by-step guide:

1. Set Up a Wallet

To purchase NFTs, you’ll need a crypto wallet, such as MetaMask. Download the wallet app or install the browser extension and create an account. Make sure to save your recovery phrase securely.

2. Buy Cryptocurrency

NFTs are usually bought with cryptocurrency, most often Ethereum (ETH). Purchase ETH on a crypto exchange like Coinbase, Binance, or Kraken. Transfer the ETH from the exchange to your wallet.

3. Connect Your Wallet to OpenSea

Go to the NFT platform OpenSea and click on “Connect Wallet.” Select your wallet and follow the prompts to connect it.

4. Find Your Desired NFT

Browse the platform for NFTs that interest you. Use filters for categories, artists, or collections to narrow down your options.

5. Buy or Bid on an NFT

Once you’ve found an NFT, you can either purchase it instantly using the “Buy Now” option or place a bid if it’s being auctioned. Confirm the transaction via your wallet.

6. Check Your NFT

After your purchase, the NFT will appear in your wallet. You can view it in the “My Collection” section on OpenSea.

And that’s it! You’re now the proud owner of an NFT.
